Does Hyatt offer complimentary room upgrades for Platinum members? Remember seeing it somewhere, now when I looked up the benefits it does not appear as one... anyone?
If you mean to a suite, then the answer is no.

It is possible, but not likely to get a suite.

You're in the Hyatt Master Thread. You can ask your island questions in the Bahamas Master Thread.
Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in Nassau hasn't opened yet.

They claim it will by October (see their site), but that date has changed several times.

Will cancelling a revenue reservation in a standard room in a Hyatt release the room right away?
Can this be done to "hold" a room for a reservation with points as soon as its cancelled....

I believe free night/points is available whenever there is a standard room.

Hi. Trying to book points and cash but only see cash only and points only options on line. I called the Gold Passport desk and they told me that there is no points + cash availability for that night, only points only.  Does it work really like this or is this a HUCA?

Cash & Points is only bookable via phone and each hotel is subject to their own set availability.

and the availability of c&p is different then straight points, although you can call sometimes and get them to release availability.

Wow so im a noob, but I just ran into this problem today and I figured it was an old discussion on this thread or others, but maybe being that it was only brought up yesterday is indicative of it being a new problem (???)

I saw tons of rooms available on their website for points and was flabbergasted when the woman told me they didnt have the room I wanted available for cash and points. I assumed she was making it up, and was gonna huca but decided to check the forum first and there you have it... (I also asked her if I could book one night on strictly points and then the rest of the nights on C+P, and she said yea but i may be asked to switch my room - not quite sure what to make of that..)

Anyways so the moral of the story is that people here have experience that it is difficult to convince them to release a room to me on Cash and Points?

That's funny. I was on the phone with the hotel, and they were the ones giving me problems. I figured I would try gold passport and see if I could do any better. Can't hurt to try I guess, but its looking like I will just have to keep trying to convince the hotel.

some hotel reps have no clue when you ask them, and some know how to deal with the request. got to get someone that knows and make the story nice and convincing. i had the other night booked already so I was trying to add an additional night to my reservation.

1) Can I combine a anniversary night, together with additional points, to use the certificate at a higher category then just four ? 2) Anybody have suggestions where I can get a good value from the category 1-4 certificate ?
