I see the Park Hyatt goes for more than double the $$$ than the Andaz, Why should I pick the Andaz?

Both are great options. I've never been to the andaz so can't really comment on it but many here love it.

I dont think it makes a difference.  The manger at the Andez told me a few years ago over 30% of the guest are diamond. NYC hotel with mostly business travelers make sense.

my wife has 2 sign up nights but she is platinum. I have diamond can she add my name on the reservation to use diamond benefits?

I'm new to hyatt. I was wondering how people build enough points for stays without a credit cards sign up bonus. I know there was a 50k bonus that was targeted but I'm assuming that's not the way to do it.
