I assume that (or checkout) but what could go wrong? I get there and the clerk says we have no record of a suite in your reservation, and all our suites are booked.
Come again? What is he doing that's greedy?
Dunno what your deal with them was but I have had management do things off system so that they can pocket it

Oh. I didn't get that impression at all. He listed me all the options of upgrading and how much it would cost and even mentioned tax. I don't think he would mention tax if he was planning on pocketing it...

I just called Hyatt and they confirmed that there are 2 separate reservations systems. The general one, and then each hotel's individual system. Rep said that if a hotel makes a change in their private system, it won't be reflected in the main system. So I guess it does make sense.

8k points or 4k + $55. I'm guessing the c&p makes more sense?

Depends on the value you hold your points have and your mindset about them. I personally would go for straight points but I'm likely in the minority

Could someone else transfer there own ultimate rewards points into my hyatt account?
Theoretically but not a good idea unless it's your domestic partner (chase rule). Otherwise you're asking for A/A
This is no different than your average guy selling miles. A bit risky but wouldnt say your asking for an A/A.

Well theres a good value right there. Never-mind the $24 for every 1000 Hyatt miles to do that.

Isn't this allowed now?

Beginning March 1, members can extend their Diamond in-hotel benefits such as Regency Club or Grand Club access, free breakfast and late check out to family or friends when they transfer a free night stay using Hyatt Gold Passport points. By extending Diamond privileges to a members’ friends or family on an award stay, Hyatt is providing the warmest possible welcome and an extraordinary on-property experience.

Ya don't see the problem. I thought he meant from "his" UR to "my" diamond.

Was it just luck that I wasn't charged a resort fee during a C+P night or is that policy at some hotels?

Besides for my stay, are there and data points on experiences on how long it took for the 20% bonus to come back to your account?
