If I book a hotel (Hyatt) using 1.5c/point with Sapphire Reserve, will I still get status benefits, or does it need to be booked on Hyatt?

For a stay I am looking at, it seems that I could use 15k Hyatt or about 13k Chase points. If it will cost me my chance at an upgrade/late checkout, then it might not be worth it to book through Chase (I might just pay cash in that case). Status is low tier (discoverist), so not earth-shattering either way.

officially you do not but at times you can add through the hotel and they will honor

If a hotel has standard points rooms available, does that mean they have Chase Cat 1-4 free nights as well?

My free night is tied up on another booking right now, which I might cancel should a different property have availability, but I am concerned that cancelling my booked night might not put it back into inventory.

call them and have them do it on the phone and tell them not to cancel unless they rebook the new room first

If i make a booking (points or cash) under my account and have a 2nd guest check in, will it count as a qualifying night?

Agree and it is YMMV.  From my experience, no. It did not count into primary guest's stay credit.

We are 3 adults and need 2 rooms at PH paris.

I could reserve 2 rooms for 60k, But would really like to get the 2 bdrm suite instead.

Is there any way to reserve the suite with points?

call Hyatt and you can reserve a premium suite for double the points per night. But it’s not guaranteed to be a 2 BR suite and most likely won’t be a 2 BR suite but call to check what it is

Phone rep told me the only suite I can reserve with points is the base suite for 48k points.
