Besides for my stay, are there and data points on experiences on how long it took for the 20% bonus to come back to your account?
Running With Miles just said it takes a week, if that helps.

If I gift diamond or whatever that new amenity is, will I recieve the 20% bonus back on that points stay?
A rep told me I wouldn't recieve the bonus points....

4 days from the end of the stay. Stayed 7 nights.

Just call the diamond line and push 2 for customer service.
You get 50% more if they don't post it. So if it was a full service hyatt and you requested the points you will get 1500 instead of 1000. 750 instead of 500 at a HP

generally it works but there is always a small risk they would want the account holder to be there if they suspect something.

Shouldn't be an issue. Though don't have the person checking in running around saying things and don't have them check in with other people.

Non issue. Done many times, specifical at PH NYC. Obviously be smart about it and understand that there officially non transferable.
