How To Get *A Gold Benefits On AC Award ticket?

I booked a ticket on AC using UA miles, how can I add my A3 FF# (I have *A Gold through them) so I will get 3 free bags? Online I can't add a FF# and when I call in they say that because its an award ticket, its impossible to add a FF#

Any suggestions?

When I booked a friend few months ago AC award ticket with ua miles I was able to put it on over the phone.

Yup and I was also able to choose the front seats in economy with extra legroom online for free once it was in.

Nice benefit! Never seen that benefit before...

In any case Ill have to make a new reservation because they noted on the ticket not to add a FF#  >:( :o

Not exactly sure what you're trying to say. I got a rep who thought that if she will add any mileage number, I will earn miles, and because its an award ticket, they dont want me to earn miles, so she put a note not to add my FF #.

I've done it dozens of times. if I ever get pushback I very firmly note that adding an elite FFN isn't solely (or even at all in this case) for mileage accrual.

Have you done it with AC?

I tried explaining that to her but she claimed that she CAN'T do it. And because its noted not to add a FF# HUCA is not going to help.
