It's horrifying is what it is.

But don't panic, the CDC has this under control.

Its hard to call a man who risked his life to fight Ebola selfish, let's just call him foolish.

I don't have any trouble actually.

No one in Mr Duncan's family caught the virus though he was sick 3 days with symptoms in their house they had more exposure than the train riders.

I don't have any trouble either.  Sure, a guy goes to Africa and risks his life to save people--probably not selfish.  But if you then see that he is willing to put 300 million people at risk so that he can go bowling--it shows from the beginning that he doesn't care about anyone else, and you have to say he went to Africa also for himself. Maybe to boost his career, or so people would think he is nice.

Well he was with "doctors without borders" so naturally he had to return to the USA.

Naturally he should have self-quarantined in Africa before returning, and then again on return.

What I don't understand is if Ebola can only spread through body fluids then why is it more of a concern of spreading  than HIV.
Because they are lying to you and it is much more contagious than that.
why would they be lying??

There are levels in bodily fluids,
HIV can only be transmitted through a select 3 or 4 hardcore fluids like blood etc, while Ebola makes its way even through a little bit of sweat.
So there you go, they're not "lying".

To avoid panic. May even be good policy. But might not be in your personal best interests to believe it.

Ask your MD instead of getting all worked up about this. This thing is so contagious that none of Duncan's family has contracted it even though they were around him every minute.

But meanwhile all Duncan did is help a lady into a cab to go to the hospital. And got it.

I don't believe a word anyone says about how it's contagious or spreads. I don't think they have any good information on it. So they're making stuff up.

The MD's I spoke with say the CDC is doing a sub par job.

+1 it was never properly studied in a US lab. And viruses can change, many airborne viruses start of as only transferable through blood etc. then they become airborne later.

I agree but the bottom line is it isn't spreading as a crazy epidemic...so there doesn't seem to b justification to panic....yet

Where are all the people being hid that have contracted this highly contagious Ebola. Could it be the same place were they are keeping Kennedy and Elvis alive?  :P
