i just flew to eilat and elal was a lot more than 99 shek per way. flew arkia instead

I booked them for Feb. I got the ticket for 99 Shekel added to a europe ticket. The best part is, like in my case, TLV becomes a proper transit airport if you continue. I just take the shuttle to Terminal 3 and dont have to shlep cases or check in again

Does that mean you bypass the whole security hassle? What about passport control?

I am sure you need to go through security at terminal 1. You could've gotten in contact with anyone on the shuttle bus.
Same reason why you need to go through passport control when you arrive in terminal 3.
