Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Don't see why that would make a difference. Not all credit cards are EMV enabled yet. Don't think that Target wouldn't allow you to pay with a card that doesn't have a chip (for regular purchases).

As many know I don't have a RC and never used one but that doesn't mean I am not interested. What is baffling is I had a manger try and find out what is going on. No one she talked to knew of any change in policy.  :-\
