Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Why would someone need to
spend on a debit card
Could be to meet a checking account threshold.

You could also do that to load your RC so you can get 5% off at target
Um, i don't know if you heard, but funding red card with a debit card in target is dead.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Technically speaking if you need to spend money on a debit card would funding the red card online work for that? Thanks!
Yes.

Why does that dispute what he said ? We are talking about loading online. Which afterwards can be spent at target, and get 5% off.

Whoops. You're right. I read it wrong. I thought he said you can use a bank debit card to load a red card in target to get 5% off. My apologies.

I might keep 2 cards and actually load $1500 cash on each per month as the transfers to santander have been counting as direct deposit. Not sure if regular bank transfers do (i feel like i heard they do not).

Nah, not so much worse. Some of the responders just less refined, so it looked coarser. He had more people sticking up for him there.

Really? Did you actually read the posts? He got gold here compared to there. Besides that the bulk of the criticism was constructive here.
