Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

If you want a 5% discount, can't you just get one of the other RedCards?  They have 3 of them:
* Prepaid debit ("RedBird")
* Regular debit
* Credit

I think they all give the 5% discount.

That's correct. I was only implying the regulars here, that is people who already have Redbird. I wouldn't get the prepaid (Redbird) now just for that.

For people who don't need a merchant credit card (most MS-ers don't) and don't want to hurt their credit, it makes sense to get the debit REDcard, if they want to get a Target card just for the 5% off, free shipping from Target.com and 30 days extended return policy.

You can't get the old Serve anymore.
you can still get old Serve by going to a cvs store and looking for the old serve card on the rack (I didn't actually test it, saw it mentioned someplace )

It's not.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

LOL.
@NoonRadar posted the same rant on FT and has been beaten up there as well. Started a new thread there, in the MS board.

I hear ya. Take the money from santander then. Enjoy
I'm so dumb. I can just load online with bank debit card.
I might keep 2 cards and actually load $1500 cash on each per month as the transfers to santander have been counting as direct deposit. Not sure if regular bank transfers do (i feel like i heard they do not).

You're right-I don't get it either.
And nobody has to read his "long rants" if they don't want to. It's not going to be included in the DDF final exam.

Why should chase be any different than serve or red card? They're all ACH. I've never had a problem getting bonuses with either.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.
