Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

What do you mean by "base" points?  I've loaded from my BRG and see pending points for spend for loading.  I haven't had time to complete the spend for the bonus points yet.

75% of DDMS are!  That's not bad.  OK, there's a little bit of selection bias but still...

Im in CVS prob more now than before...

Once I proactively shut down my OBC, I retired from CVS.  They used to welcome me every day with a pile of cards at the register and I would bring them donuts and gifts.  Good friendships ruined by Amex....

Tried searching and just want to make sure.  I live in NY and use Serve with Softcard which I don't want to get rid of it until early January.  My friend is currently in Baltimore coming back up to NY next week.  The best thing to do would be for him to purchase a Redcard, load $1 onto it, give it to me, and then in mid-January I cancel my Serve with Softcard, register the Redcard online with all of my information and then load it for 5k/month with CC's at a Target in NY.  Am I missing something?

That's correct. You haven't missed a beat. 8)

However, if they're $0 fee RCs (it will show on the front of the packaing), then he can simply ask to have the card, instead of activating it at that time. That way you'll get to load the intial $500 or whatever you'd like, at the activation. If you haven't read already, that first load at activation doesn't count toward your $5K limit.

If he's doing that, it doesn't make a difference if there's a fee or not.

Does the second load (before getting permanent card) count? Or is max of the first month $5500...

Yes, it counts, so max the first month is 5.5k.

Not sure if this is what you're referring to, but I've made a $400 withdrawal at the Target ATM and then turned right around and made another $340 at the same ATM (with the understanding that $750/day is the daily ATM max and my Target ATM only dispenses $20s, with a max of $400 in a single transaction).
I've done this two days in a row at two different Targets without a problem.

But whyd your have to spin around? Why not just put your card right back in without the spin move? Is that so the camera on the atm thinks your a different person and won't hold back the money
