Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Hey guys,
This may sound like a dumb question as I'm completely new to all of this, (I only have 1 credit card to my name at the moment... I know right?!) but I noticed in the post on DansDeals.com that for opening his prepaid target REDcard he got a 70,000 new member points bonus. is that an ongoing thing or was it a promotion at the time? I'll be getting my target REDcard in the coming week to finally begin racking up some points and was just curious. thanks so much y'all!

xo Gabe
That was a Chase promo for Ink card. It was just someone manufacturing spend to get that bonus. RedCard has never had any bonus attached to it other than the ability to manufacture spend to reach bonus levels on other cards.

OHHHH Ok wow I understand now. So the RED card itself doesn't give you any points, it's the card you use to load it with money that does. thank you so much, i am beyond naive when it comes to this stuff!

Searched but couldn't find the answer, how much can you transfer at one time to your bank account from the RedCard? And how long does it usually take to go through? TIA.

Nm, $5k max? Also, in order for me to withdraw funds, do I need to wait to receive the permanent Redcard in the mail?

Has anyone attempted to transfer in excess of 5k to a linked bank account?  I tried and the transaction didn't go through.  Ended up doing bp.

I just transferred $5495 to my bank account and it seems like it's going through.

Transaction was initially processed and failed later on.  The money was then redeposited back to my RC.

My money is in my bank account, so the limit is definitely higher than $5k.

I withdrew it on the 31st and it came into my account this morning.

I initiated a withdrawal on Friday last week, it was actually put through on Monday and the funds were available on Tuesday. So essentially 2 business days after you request it.

Whoops! I misread the question. Thought he was asking about the time for bank withdrawal. I agree 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS
