Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

By "not easy" you mean you were able to get exactly enough that you needed but none for the person who talked you through every detail of the whole process?

Exactly :) I only needed three that's all the ss numbers I actually have to register on comp but I wanted to get for some others on This forum and friends :(
Sorry! I would offer to go back but the 5 hour round trip drive was not fun.
Should I be nervous to charge cc and transfer all back to bank account?
Can I link same back account for my husband and mine? Is it a red flag?

Why would you want to keep them open if you get RC? Do they still have any use?

From FT

"Max 1 purchase per ss# per day--this means one person can actually have 2 AFT cards, which is why there is a $5000 total limit for 2 cards (see below). "

You are allowed.  The advantage of having two in your name is that you can withdraw $800 for free once a month instead of $400 for free.  It also reduces the number of monthly trips from five to three.  Daily limit is still $1k per card, monthly limit is $5k for combined.

To the person who was in Clifton Target and tried to load 10 redbirds with 10 different names and credit cards at one register.... are you nuts? The entire store is now on alert and the cashiers are now reluctant to do reloads. Please use some common sense.

Whether or not that's true, I would hope that someone who is alerted that he (or she) may be responsible for bringing this opportunity to an end could be more cautious afterwards.

You are assuming that the person in question is a DDFer, though.

By definition if you have more than one Redcard its in more than one name. Most of us have more than one and load several at a time. I dont see anything wrong with loading multiple Redcards at one cashier.

His sin, as you seem to be saying, is that he had 10 different credit cards in different names. That guy should have been arrested, not called out here!?!?!?
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.
