Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

By definition if you have more than one Redcard its in more than one name. Most of us have more than one and load several at a time. I dont see anything wrong with loading multiple Redcards at one cashier.

His sin, as you seem to be saying, is that he had 10 different credit cards in different names. That guy should have been arrested, not called out here!?!?!?

His only sin as far as I'm concerned was calling undue attention to himself and the game. Most cashiers at Target don't see $10,000 transactions ever and when they see stacks of cards involved with those high numbers start to think about the fraud training sessions they sat through. A little extra time spent breaking up the transactions means more smooth transactions for everyone.

what an idiot indeed...
why do we have to cause uncalled attention to ourselves?
going in to target and not getting anything and not returning anything and holding up the line with 10 ddf'ers at once all Loading cards is asking for trouble, no wonder they're not selling except in a small number of states, wouldn't be surprised if all these idiots cause this to get shut down soon, in the meantime let's use our brains!

I went to Aberdeen last night. Right off 95. They had a ton. Right away said I can only get one per a license. I brought my husbands license and they said no.  I went to cs and asked to do another the cashier who rang me out yelled over to cs that I just got one. I was very nice and low key and she insisted it would not  ring through. I asked kindly if she minded trying and she said fine. She didn't know I was typing in different ss numbers. Was suprized when it worked. She said cool I'll do another one for me as well :) lol. I hope to open a cc today to earn untied miles. Is that the best one for future travel to Israel United?
I think elal is changing to 100000 Amex for summer travel after feb 2010. Ba flying on us now charges 600 file and taxes.  I never had luck with flying blue getting any normal summer dates. Any other recommendations before I start this red card thing :) I am going this summer using Amex and need to start saving for next summer for family of five! Thanks for any recommendations
IME Aberdeen is extremely annoying. All the employees are on the lookout. I once did 1 at the electronics desk in the back and then tried to do another 1 at a cashier at the front, and an employee stopped me.
It's worth it to go 10 minutes further to Abingdon. They're pretty chilled there.

IME if you're not holding up a line either early in the day or near closing time there is no "attention" being called to yourself. I was in Pikesville MD on New Years Day at 10pm and loaded 12.5k by nicely explaining to the cashier that every time i load these cards Amex gives me a free plane ticket. The cashier was amused and only wanted to know more about it. There was no line held up. She was more than helpful and didnt question the amount.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

My friend brought me 3 Redcards from Baltimore, all with $0 purchase fee.  He didn't register any of them.  Saw some conflicting info on the thread.  Can I register all 3 in my name at a Target in NY?  Is the no registering new cards at stores that don't sell them Targetwide or only in NJ?

If you pay via "CC" and want to split payment, do you have to tell the cashier the amounts?
I want to wipe out the small balances on a few cards, and then pay the rest of the $1k on CC.
Thanks

If the CC are prepaid gift cards... Just swipe them. It will deduct what ever is left then tell you the new balance.

Cool! So no need to tell the cashier anything about splitting the payment?

Nope. I did it with two $500 gift cards.
After he was like, wait a minute how did you do that...
