I actually was with someone today in target & he tried to add $1,000 to a temp card & it didnt go.. maybe because he didnt register the temp.. possible & probably the reason...

I agree, it's too long, and it needs to be condensed. I looked it over last week to see if I could do that, but i couldn't figure out how to do that without losing any info in the process. Feel free to try, though.

I just edited the wiki.
Mainly I removed the Qs from the FAQ area. Most of the info was already elsewhere.  So I tweaked wording here and there to clarify or emphasize.

Was just reading through wiki and it says when registering temporary card to leave d.ob. Empty. I got my activated temporary cards from a friend of mine and put in my d.o.b when registering. I'm still waiting for card to arrive but will I have a problem when I get them and if not why is there any point of leaving it blank ?

Incorrect, I did 9 swipes yesterday. 8 visa GC's & 1 CC

No special prompt, just sign and tap agree as usual. If you do more than a few the agent my get annoyed, since he has to bunch in the last 4 digits of each card... (At least when it was $500)

$200 visas did not require the cashier to enter in the last 4. You may be right that it only requires it on $500 & up

did you use them like a DC or CC? debit card don't need the last 4, cuz you type in the pin

I did $1000 using VGC and it required the last 4 digits every time. Even for the last $100 on the $500 load.

I've never had luck using them as debit. When I buy from staples and try the last 4 it either says insufficient funds and if i choose to not put the whole $1,000 on the card the screen just freezes.

I also do debit. Target is helping me so I'll use option that costs them less...

Guys can you please update Wiki with instructions how to load RedCard with VGC?
Do I understand the process correctly:  if i have 5 $200 VGC i tell cashier I want to load my card with $1000 and without saying I'm splitting it, just give her my first VGC to run it as a debit card (enter last 4 digits if prompted), after she swiped the first one I give her my second VGC and so on until she swipes all 5 cards?

You swipe it yourself, when asked for debit card pin, hit X to be used as a credit card..
