You swipe it yourself, when asked for debit card pin, hit X to be used as a credit card..

Aren't you supposed to do it as debit so it costs them less? Or does that make this trick not work?

You can probably hit cancel and then type in what you want to pay on the card.

I think I chose no and then the screen froze up. I'll have to try again.
If I ordered a slew of VGC from staples.com and called to activate cuz the codes didn't come in, can i use the last 4 as the pin, or do I need to wait for the pins to come in the mail?

yes. (What you get in the mail is NOT the pin, just the code to activate the cards.

The letter had an activation code AND a pin code.

I just got my VGC's from Staples over 3 days, didnt get a single activation code though. Do i just call in and tell them to activate? Never received cards before activation codes.

You can call and have them activate them all of the GCs by phone.

That's what I did. Did not have the patience to wait. Call 877-426-2551. Takes you straight to an agent.

Different number from the wiki. This is a number I got when I tried to activate some cards I had gotten from a cancelled order. I had the codes but it told me to call the number.  No options to choose. Straight to agent, although depending on call volume may be a while. I actually got the same agent 3 times in the last 24 hours.

did you use them like a DC or CC? debit card don't need the last 4, cuz you type in the pin
