Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

So someone else can get me a card and mail it to me without either of us sharing our information with the other...

No, that will not work. When you register it, you need to input the buyer's SS#

Then it would be best for them to mail you a sealed one and have you register it at the store.
I just found a new supply of forks!

Any issue with picking up 10 or so on same day? Using same SSN during purchase?
Does this not have the same purchase requirements as the AFT? Ie. Drivers license scan/ address verification?

Will that work? Or did they only update the systems at the targets that have them?

It may work, worth trying, but I'm guessing the clerks at non participating stores wont have any idea how to do it...

It is menu driven. Not sure what the problem is.

I could understand cashiers getting nervous doing something they've never done before, and just saying that it's not possible so that they don't have to try.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Bought a temp card, can't register it of course.

So what do I do with this thing now?
Do I really want to give up on Softcard?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Why can't you just switch one of your accounts over?
