Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

I don't think that's true. Sometimes it even reflects on your statements.
there are 2 stages here. The first stage of the temp card is swiped at purchase - imo, even an spg swipe should be 'normal' as it's a reg target purchase.

Once there are subsequent reloads and/or the permanent card comes, then it may pay to be more cautious. Perhaps the charges will be tracked differently.

+1 Yes.
Because of this:

...as long as WM and Target don't speak to each other, hopefully we can get a couple months out of this once our perm cards come in the mail.

got some free cards -- loaded one elsewhere. Will try another ID/card that has current bb acct and see if it will switch over online.

How accurate is this?
On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being least accurate I'd say 0.

The guy is most prob guessing.. However he is prob right that they are monitoring and will eventually close it down.
Im assuming CC will be closed first but GC will still work for some time until...
My 2 cents - Im allowed..

Honestly, I think all of us on the forums have a heightened sense of how important we are. Sure if a story makes i to DDMS and to the other blogs it MAY get attention, bur I highly doubt the CC companies are actively monitoring any of the forums.  They know what we know, they know about churning, and for whatever reason they decide to add new methods of it. If and when it goes away it will not be because there's a 200 page thread on FT or here. It will be because they make a business decision to end it. There are at the absolute highest maybe 1,000 dedicated mile earners here (probably less than 200, but im being generous), and maybe 10X that on FT and other sites.  They don't really care what we do when posting online. If it loses them real money then they'll change it, but not because they are reading all our posts.

My 2 cents...
READ THE DARN WIKI!!!!

Chuck Norris...
...can still do FT method
