Since loading RC shows up on your cc statement as Target, there is no problem using it to pay that cc or any other one.

If amex was used then a bill pay is sent to amex, you think amex doesn't know the charge wasnt reg target purchase rather red card? The charge might come up as target but its all the same bank, there is no doubt in my mind that they know the charge is not a regular target purchase. (with a non amex it is s a different story)

Then don't use RC to pay an Amex bill.
My mishegas is not to move too much to a bank when you've loaded it via cc. I don't know what their computers are alert for, and I don't know who is looking it all over, but that looks too much like MS.

Am I able to fund with RC with my SPG card? Has anyone received their points after doing so? I have seen threads online saying it was not treated as a cash advance, but maybe points won't post.

I pay lots of real bills. As suggested in a prior post.
What should you do? Up to you.


Maybe you can pay someone else's mortgage/ rent, etc, and they'll write out a check to you.

I don't know what everyone else does but, I try to pay all my bills with it including - or especially - non-cc bills and cc that I don't use just for MS and, of course, bills that don't take cc.  And I transfer some dollars and take some in cash, you know, use the card as it is intended  .  I even use it to shop at Target.

Has anyone been able to activate a redcard in a store that doesn't sell them, but in a state where they are sold?

Even Targets in non-DDF, non-NY areas that don't sell RCs can't activate them?  The non activation problem is all across  the country?

by definition if someone on ddf went to a target it is a DDF area, so your question cannot be answered here by a ddfer (at least using first hand experience) ;-).
one might argue that anyone trying to activate a target in a store that does not sell them, while said individual may not be a DDF member per se, but in spirit, they have the neshoma of a DDFer and have not yet completed their geirus/baptism by sign up, and therefore even if they tell the experience to a true DDFer, the store is still a DDF area. Ergo, your question is invalid.

To rephrase:  I thought the 'a Target that doesn't carry RC can't activate RCs' policy only applied to select areas in the  Northeast.  Is this a Target hardwired policy throughout the country?
