Topic Wiki

Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

I don't get this whole thing...

According to CS whom I spoke with at RedCard on the phone, they said you can't even do Loads with A CC...

Why does Target allow this?
I'll let one of the more seasoned DDFers yell at you. I'll just suggest that you refrain from calling attention to the fact that this is the easiest way to manufacture spending and keep CS out of it when you can

this didn't help....need more info on what to tell them
swipe red card 1st time,
They will ask how much,
$1,000
It will say, can't pay with target gc,
They need to press OK (k1)
Then b4 they presses the payment method, cc/dc/cash, ask them to reswipe the red card,.
Hope this helps
And if they already selected a payment method, ask then to push 'back'
What's your plan for yud shvat?

There not stupid
That's where you go wrong

Even if they see it the more it annoys them and the more you stuff it in their face the more they understand what's going on and the quicker it disappears
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

For that matter....

DO NOT GIVE CS A HARD TIME EITHER!!! TAKE NO AS AN ANSWER!!!

Not yelling at you, just making sure everyone hears it.

If they say $400, $1k etc. Just accept it. Say thank you. Dont be a smart alec. If youre shopping with someone else then you can approach separately. Or try a cashier if they are allowed in that location. Or try the electronics department first if they are allowed to process loads. But when they say this is the limit...accept it.

Sorry for being redundant.

Be careful who you call new; don't base it off the post count :)

Yes. I'm trying an experiment tomorrow trying to activate a card liberated from one participating store in another participating store.
