Topic Wiki

Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Seems like lots of people on FT also think it is bs http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manufactured-spending/1660498-rip-redbird-fun-while-lasted-15.html
Based on how closely the pictures there resemble mine I have little doubt it is real. Also it's not a bunch of guys who just signed up some guys saying this have been there for years and have thousands of posts. Obviously this doesn't mean all is over but it does mean to be extra careful.

Members here have been hitting this hard from day one. Not one report of a shut down for load/unload. Are Jews exempt this time because they have been targeted by Chase last time?

It just doesn't make sense. The reason people load uneven amounts is so that they don't get their CC closed down.  RC probably expects people to load in round numbers.

Agreed. A bigger deal is probably immediate withdrawal or bill pay in the same amount you loaded. But then again isn't it meant for that also?

+1. If this is real, immediate withdrawal to cc/check is the issue

I hear definitely a good question...but I'm assuming FT has a lot more people following than here which is a niche audience so it could be thats it.

How many reports have you seen at FT? The first poster is a troll and is part of a MS group that puts out miss information.

Of all things to troll about, why pick a major thing that many many people would potentially know about???
