Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Went to westbury target with my husband today. My cashier said that I cant load more than 1k a day "new rule". My husbands cashier was beginning to load 2500 for my husband but my cashier went over and told him he couldnt do that - new rule at Westbury.
Anyone else with that experience?

yes -- and those "double lines" at target are helpful. Make a purchase and swipe at one cashier and then the next one 3 feet ahead is open so the next cc loads the rc without waiting in line or inconveniencing/alerting the cashier.

Looks like youre a smart one here, whats your great advice?? when I put in quickbooks and there is c charge for 1k in target what would I put that in quickbooks as?
when its paid off from my personal account or directly from rc it doesnt match so cant reconcile
Redcard is like a bank account. The same way you make a payment to from your bank to CC you can make a payment from your CC to your RC "bank account". Or you can simply record your purchase at Target to your RC account not to an expense account and watch your RC balance go up in the same transaction.

Am I the only guy who would rather just do the old way with loading at Walmart. Every time I use the RC I had these annoying fraud issues.

If your walmart still works, kol hakavod!
PS: you can use the same GCs you loaded at WM to load the RC, and avoid the whole fraud thing.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Why use CG for RB when you can use them on Serve?  :o Save RB for direct CC loads.  ;)
