Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

I've loaded with almost all their cashiers and never encountered one who cared or said anything.
same here in Hackensack they were all very nice...today I went $900 a day...but she conveniently offered for me to come back everyday lol
If you think nobody cares about you... just forget to pay your credit card bill

they generally are trained to keep the customers happy -- so if this is something that they know how to key in, then they'll do it. It helps Target, too...

It definitely helps target. Every time I go to target with my wife to fill up her RC she ends up wanting to go inside to buy something.

It says in Wiki that you can't load GC online. Can it be done at a store? If so does it count towards the 2500/day or 5k/month threshold?

Have you read through this thread at all?

Yes. You can swipe them as credit. They count the same as loading with CC (or cash, for that matter)

Hackensack store manager said a few people yelled at the CS people,  so they are limiting redcards to loading done by the manager only,  $900 per day.
Really stinky. Was my main target place.

If you work in Lower Manhattan,  the Jersey City store is still a go.  But be nice, and don't fill 3 redcards when there are 10 people in line behind you.

I wonder how they came up with that number.

I can't imagine what people were complaining about. The store let you load however much you wanted.

i am so pissed! Target at hackensack was great.. i know all the evening/night people.. yesterday they only let 900 and one card..usually they let me do my three... i ran over to Bergen mall that doesn't take cc at all..but let me load the remaining 1600 per 3 cards using vgc... i was super nice and did one at a time then went back to the back of the line...no stirring the waters...

im upset about hackensack..my sister goes in the am so she will see if am manger also is strict but she wont go till april.. if nto i would have to make 6 trips x 3 cards.... 18 trips a month thats a little crazy... and i was about to open another two cards...
 :'(

Anyone have experience in the target in Clifton? that's about a 15 minute drive from my work.

Report from DW at Hackensack (a few minutes ago) - CS told her DC or Cash only and appeared very annoyed...  Any recent reports from Paramus?

Just went to two Target locations:

Westbury (Corporate Dr.) - Only allowed $1,000 per day and ONLY A DEBIT CARD. So that store is dead for now.

Flushing (College Pt. Blvd.) - Only allowed $1,000 per day. Did not try to go to another cashier/customer service to try to do another load.

I also went to Hackensack and $990 was the number I Was given. The manager was right there and said that she would load more for me, so I did $2,000. This was yesterday.
