I tried to load RC today in Target on the Belt near JfK, my RC was declined on 1k load. I called CS they asked me if it was from a cc, told me that they have stopped letting thru cc. Anyone else heard something like that?

I did a load from a credit card yesterday (at a different store in the Greater NY area) with no problem. I've given up on the Gateway store.

I need to come up with 10k. Was thinking of borrowing money from RC and recycling money through my cc's every month... before I pull the trigger is there any downside to this? TIA

Why not just load your RC with a 0% on purchases CC. No need to cycle each month.

Load a RC with a CC that offers 0% on purchases. You will need to pay the minimum payment each month on the CC but no need to tie up the RC. This way you will have 10k interest free for 12-15 months depending on the CC you use.

how would I be tying up my rc? My cheshbon was that every month i'd load the rc to pay off the cc just like I do now. The only exception being that ill constantly be 10k behind but never actually pay interest. Am I wrong?

Well you are borrowing against your credit card and that can be a slippery slope

You will need more than one RC. What if RC stops with CC loads in a few months? With the 0% card you have more time.
