moves faster I guess, when I was doing BB/Serve in Walmart I would do $600 load and just swipe 3- $200 cards one after the other, you walk away with less receipts and the clerk doesn't have to swipe your card every time - the only thing is it's a hassle to try explaining it to a clerk that doesn't know how to do it.

Yup, I've actually never tried asking them to do it with that phrase, I wonder if the high class WM employees by me would even know what that means...I'll have to try when I get back to the states

its known as Valley Stream (VS) and yes, they require CS load only. I have only encountered one location in NY that allows cashier loading. All others have been CS for me..

Loaded 1 time by a cashier at the old country road target. But that was back in 2014...

IINM, you can still do split tender, it just won't auto drain. You have to tell the cashier how much you want to load from each GC.

I just changed your statement from 2k daily to 2.5
Serve only allows amex online now that is correct, you will not earn points.
they are basically all equal now, target is generally easier to load cards at and closer to some people.

If i change RB or Serve or BB, which one would be better now? You can still do those visa gcs loads at walmart cashier on Serve and BB?  Any other difference between Serve & BB? Any pros of Serve  online Amex  card load if you don't earn points? thanks

I did split tender tonight. Cs didn't think it could be done. But was willing to try. After clerk inputs 1k, swipe vgc. The pos will ask if you want to put the entire amount on 1 card. Tap no and tell clerk how much you want from card.

While all 3 cards are basically the same, each one has its distinct advantage/diasdvantage:
Only BB has check writing feature.
Only Serve can be loaded online with CC.
Both BB and Serve can be synced to Amex offers and, at least this past year, were eligible for SBS.
Redcard gets 5% off and free shipping at Target and allows you to avoid walking into WM and dealing with their staff.

You don't need redcard prepaid to get 5% off Target as you can get Redcard Credit Card which gets 5% off online and in store, and then pay it off with Serve or BB.

As it's a credit card, it will require hard pull. And paying it off with bb/serve will necessitates a visit to WM...

I was just arguing that there is no need to get Prepaid Redcard to get 5% off at Target, but obviously understand the benefit of avoiding WM and staff.

If you got serve thru softcard back in the day cc loads still work. Is there any way to get serve thru softcard now? Softcard is google wallet. Or is this something that only if you're grandfathered in from softcards days?
