Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Harlem also told me no GCs.
But Bronx had no issue swiping GC.

I used to have ISIS serve with serve card and switched to Redbird 6 months ago. Can I switch back to Serve now OR SIGN UP AGAIN and be able to do online Amex load? I have to cancel the Redbird first and open Serve right after that? Don't want to cancel Rebird if I can't get Serve again.
Thanks

You can switch back and load amex online but don't forget no points for spend... You do need to cancel rc

So with Serve , you can only load Amex issued Amex cards only but only to meet minumum spend req with no points earning?

Serve or Bluebird still have zero forex  or ATM fee right? I once had Bluebird 3 yr ago and used at ATM in asia, there was only $2 charge  by foreign bank and no fee.
still the same?

Are you sure? I thought the "one vanilla"  can't be loaded onto redcard???

Yes, it can be loaded onto the rc. You are getting confused with serve, that you can't load vanilla cards into them in Walmart.

Just so I don't make a mistake , do you sign the OV before loading ? And use the last 4 numbers as
The PIN and then choose debit

I've never signed but probably doesn't hurt if you want to spend the time doing it...
I think you select debit before the pin.

The moment you swipe, the first thing you do is enter the pin.

You tell them initially you are using debit and then swipe, enter pin and follow prompts.

Now that Target Redcard CC loading is gone, should I sign up for Serve (on another account)? I do not yet have the Ink card to benefit from 5x points for VGC purchasing/loading. Which is the better bang-for-buck for purchasing VGCs and loading Serve or Redcard?

No need to get another account if you have a Target nearby and can load there.

Does Brooklyn junction still require id, thereby not letting vgc loads ?

Ok, cool. I've been cashing out all my GCs by MO the past week. I feel like I am approaching the invisible line that makes banks nervous.  :)
