Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

I am hoping someone has tried it before me. If not, I may just try it myself.
Others have asked but I have yet to hear one way or another if it worked. May or may not be some kind of fraud.

If your worry is that it will kill the card, I don't think it will.
People make mistakes inputting info all the time.  This mistake of yours is just par for the course.

Same thought - mistakes happen.

IMHO it may be better to keep the same month and date and change the theyear just by one number... In case it is a problem its the simplest to explain

Has to be at least 2 numbers to go from 20xx to 19xx unless it's someone 15 or so.

Just tried loading a us bank mastercard gift card,  wouldn't go though as a credit card but once I called us bank and set a pin it went through no problem as a regular debit card.
If you think nobody cares about you... just forget to pay your credit card bill

Can I register a card under my kid’s social security number (who is under 18) but state a birth-date that is over 18?
I'm not judging, but for me, this would cross the line into fraud. I wouldn't risk it.

Data Point:
Target in San Rafael, California (possibly the most beautiful natural setting for a Target Store in the world, with SF bay on one side and Mt. Tamalpais on the other): loaded my own and my wife's Red Card with the FlyerTalk $2500 method, no problem. The customer service agent was pleasantly amused, smiling, happy to help.

Your cards had already been activated, correct? Loading doesn't seem to be the issue.

yes, most of us would be "pleasantly amused, smiling, happy to help" if we lived/worked there, too.. Imagine that San Rafael, California Target employee contrasted with a NY/NJ Target employee who's living through winter and has already been bombarded loading RC 4,000 times in the past 6 weeks...

You need to verify bank account. Then it'll go through. PUTPAC. They'll ask you to upload bank stmt. Names must match.

I had previously verified the linked bank account with the two small deposits.   I see no reason why any further verification would be required and they didn't request further verification from me.
