Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

So Target in Valley Stream can only load at CS. No Limit though. CSR was very nice and understood exactly what was going on and why. She asked if you can pay the Amex from the RC and I said  ::) :o :-\  ;) I'm not sure. I just use it for the 5%. All 2.5k  :P :P :P

when trying to verify red card it brings me to serve do i need a new login or do i just use the one from redcard?
You need a new login. It is sort of the same website as serve, but should look different.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

$2500 is the max per transaction

I have had cashiers load for me in VS
I defer to you as you are the queen of that location :-) I asked a cashier to load and he said NO WAY you have to go to CS then he turned, before i could ask him to try and confirmed with the cashier across the next aisle. So that was that. But this Greek older CS woman was sooooo nice. She was just interested in the ingenuity of people that load the cards. She even knew me thru others like you. She mentioned that some people go to MA to buy the cards. I told her "Yup thats me"!!!

Did my next load of 1800 only cause that's what I can buy at staples in a day. Went directly to cs, lady was like ok I got this just tell me amount. She starts explaining to me ways around the rules. She knew the flyer talk method :) I had to bite my tongue not to laugh.

Had a cashier this AM who told me this card is amazing and she snagged some for her family.  She kept telling me it's the best prepaid card that anyone can get their hands on. LOL

IME, in Brooklyn everything is YMMV.

it seems the managers make up arbitrary rules and limits about what they could or can't do and who could or can't do what.

Specifics?
For example:
In one brooklyn location (IIRC flatbush & Nostrand) I went to CS, they told me that each CSR has a (IIRC daily) limit imposed by the manager they're allowed to load per RedCard. One guy was only allowed to do $500 "because he's new," another woman there was allowed to do $1000. When I went to the cashier they first told me they can't do it, I need to go to CS, but there was a cashier there who did it for me. (the remaining $1000 on the first card and $2500 on the second.)

My wife was in Gateway yesterday, (I think this was at a cashier, but I'm not sure, I'll have to ask her.) she tried doing the "FT method" but the cashier(?) said the manager doesn't allow it. She had to do separate transactions.

I don't know about Bronx Terminal.
