Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

A full ten digits. Even if it's already 10 digits, delete the number and put it back in.

Yes thank you both of you, it seems that this is the solution.
Apparently it enters the number you put in when registering the original temporary card, and it sometimes leaves out some of the digits which has to be corrected in your profile.

I was there an hour or two ago, and I wasn't challenged reloading with a credit card, but when I tried to do a second load with a second credit card, I was told that I could only do one per day. I asked if the new policy applied to all Targets, and she didn't know, but she said that it just got rolled out to this Target today.

If there's any truth to what she said, perhaps another cashier misunderstood the memo.
I had similar last week, one CS cashier told another "only one transaction" (which did not preclude FTm...)

Having a similar issue at the junction. One guy recognizes me already so he's cool and lets me do one transaction with each RC. one lady tells me to go to the next cashier to make the next transaction. its all very strange

Loaded at 9pm in Midtown Miami Target. They refused to allow FT method. Did 2k on one RC and 2k on another using my PRG. Was afraid to do more because of possible fraud alert (out of town plus separate transactions). Interestingly the last 1k load showed up as a problem when they gave me receipt. It said transaction was declined but i logged into my RC account and the money was there and the charge was pending on Amex. Weird but it went through.

I got  screwed up I think.

Went to a targets nearby to load. I think the mistake is due to  load going over the daily $2500 limit.

First loaded $1K & $200. That is $1200. Than loaded $1k & $500.13 on same card.  That is $1500.13. Load went thru fine and receipt shows it. But when I Checked my target account at home and I am only seeing $1700.13 in total load & not  $2713 as charged on 2 credit cards.

Is there anyway to fix this?
Please help! :'(

called the number on back, spoke to a red bird supervisor from India. Explained everything to him on phone. Told me he will write an email to dispute team and they will contact me.

Is there another way? I am not comfortable filing dispute with my CC company yet as  they will see the receipt which shows MS.

Problem happened earlier. Maybe contact him to find out what happened:

I made a mistake calculating and accidentally tried to load an extra penny on to the card today and went over the max for the day.  Was loading with 2 different cards.  For the second load I did 1000 + 146.88 ( when is should have been 146.87) My receipt says $1146.88 but the last 146.87 never loaded.  Anyone have any experience with this?  Will the charge on my cc end up showing as 1000 or 1146.88.  If the latter, what happens to the 146.88 that never loaded?

Based on your post count I predict that your card was simply declined.

Look on the back of your card, you will see two 1800 numbers.  Call the one that says costumer service and ask them to help you.  :)

trust me i know what i am doing i have 6 target cards and have been loading up for the past 2 months 30K ...
my card was not declined... i tried another card too...

i will try today at another Target in NJ and will keep you posted .

Anyone had success yesterday in NY?

No such thing as an amex debit card. Amex gift card gets processed as credit
