Topic Wiki

Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

OK. I just dont need AMEX and Chase questioning my purchases. Although it is nice to walk into Target and come out 7500 points richer
i never understood why chase or amex would care
they are still getting their fees on the money

This is also why it drives me crazy when the cashier/Guest Services rep has a "greater than thou" complex and cares because of "policy" not to reload your card when Target is making the money anyways

-1 because the CS rep has to follow store policy, its not personal but they are paid to follow the rules. Annoying as it is, I can't blame a CS rep for not going against store policy.

Gets you in the store so you'll shop more. Also an awesome branding play, think about how often the word Target is now said and discussed and thought about.

@hvaces42 – I am going to assume something was going on yesterday that I was not aware of. I will let this go this time but please refrain from posting this type of nonsense.

This has probably been mentioned earlier, but just stopped by target and tried to load 2500. Managers all said max 1000 a day per card for this specific target by the five towns. Anyone else have this problem.
