Topic Wiki

Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Aren't you paying load fees like $5.95/GC?
Not with amex GCs

Data point: Westbury alive and well. Express lane didnt want to bother so she sent me to CS. Had no problem doing 2k, 1.5k and 500 loads on 3 cards (mine wife's and FIL). Also did 500 load at Electronics Dept as lines were crazy elsewhere. So its alive and well for today. Miscalculated and need to do one more trip to finish off 1 card for $500. Bummer. But its on the way so I'll just stop later in the week.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

So you are getting like triple points or something that makes this worth it!?

I just see this as so time consuming unless the rewards outweigh this

Also if you're getting 5x points at a store (eg: groceries this Freedom), it may outweigh the $5.95.

If I am managing a 2nd RC. How are most people getting that money back?

- for the first $2500 I send RC to RC
- What do most do for the 2nd $2500, as there is a $2500 limit for RC to RC per month
- I have been acting as the payee to get the second $2500  and receiving a check. I know I could possibly just have that account pay my CC directly, but is that raising a red flag? Anyone have experience?

It's not a red flag. Just billpay a CC. If you're concerned, load with two credit cards and billpay crosswise.

You seriously think the 5x pd is not worth the hassle to go to staples instead just swipe ur cc in store and have fraud alerts and kill the system?!?!
If you have any questions please search and then ask. PM me for detailed help.

No go at route 4 target. High volume store most likely is the reason.
