Topic Wiki

Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Don't see it in Wiki. Aderaba, probably a good idea to add it.
Under 'Notes & Technical Issues:' see #2.
But you're excused from not seeing it.  The wiki is gigantic, and most of it needs to be there.
My favorite cause: cssy.org

Arrrggggg.  the Target in Monsey (spring Valley) was so good, they always allowed me to do a many swipes as I wanted by customer service with out a problem, (sometime at registers as well).
Now they make you go to CS & CS calls a manger who only allows 1 swipe of $1k with matching Id/CC/Redcard. She told me that your allowed $2500 but store policy only allows $1000. Oh Well I Guess I see allot of target visits in my future.

Not sure that going from 2 trips to 5 trips per month per card is that terrible. Still works for me. Once they make it  a $500/day itll start getting annoying. But then Ill start crying in the appropriate thread

Because it has fees, lower limits, and it's harder to cash out.

and for those of us that have more than 1 card its many more trips and the ID matching thing is a PITA. So its off to a Target outside the 10-15 mile radius of NYC.

Even worse would be using a cash back card to load it. Ugh.

30k/mo at 5-6.75x what a waste of time. I really wish someone would teach how this game should be played.

It's not fair since you have 6 socials, HM, CV, and CM and DWs... And I thought 800 at ATM was great, when person before me and after each took out a 20...

These comments are really tiresome, especially for those who have used the Redbird to get their feet wet in the whole MS game.

By any objective measure, being able to MS $360K/year with $0 out of pocket costs and very little risk is a boon not a bust.

Anyone doing more than that, at a higher return and/or lower cost, is the 1% of this game.

I don't think it is the ones just getting their feet wet that are knocking the AFT card.

The AFT card? We're talking about the Redbird.

And you did what you often do... selectively quote a post, and only respond to that selected portion :)

I was responding to the AFT comments. I quote the part of the posts that make sense.  :)
