Topic Wiki

Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

What's so complicated!  You go online and select pay bill and select pay a person and follow the instructions.

Besides cashing out which is limited, Bill Pay is the easiest way to get cash. Just send yourself a check and deposit it into your bank account.

I personally do not pay myself from my account (no real need as i can withdraw to bank), rather to a family member and have them deposit it.

There have been reports upthread of checks made payable to the cardholder not being processed. I send to wife and company.

One silver lining from the 2/26 system outage, loading issues, and subsequent repeated calls to CS - the credit I finally got from the loads didn't affect my March limit so I was still able to load the full $5K at Target this month  ;D

Tell them to swipe on their keyboard with the stripe facing up and the screen will walk them through the steps.

Slide card in reader on right side of register keyboard stripe facing up. Follow instructions on the screen. 1k, 1k, 500 per card. Not difficult at all. GL
