Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

I'm talking about the guy from Friday (not about IsraelGuy). That's who avromie7 is talking about I think.

I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

What's a Redbird whisperer?

Anyone know what the Target situation is in the 5 Towns area? I'm here for Pesach and don't really know what the Target situation is around here. It looks like Valley Stream is the closest Target.

valley stream is the closest and they will only allow $1000
-2500 per card per visit.
There is most definitely a solid target closer to 5t than Valley stream, and they take 2500 per card for at least 2 cards in one visit, including 5k of 200 vgc
Eta. Never mind. My target is much further. For some reason I  was thinking Monsey not long Island.

The Target Prepaid REDcard
« Reply #7927 on: April 07, 2015, 01:43:41 AM »
Tried Redcard (new) at multiple targets today with a new Chase SP. Kept rejecting as denied, even though repeatidly calling chase and talking to them, and them putting 'notes' on the account with the fraud department that it should be allowed. Tried Citi card right after and it worked (even though denied first time also for fraud, but eventually was able to get through).

What can I do to get my CSP working with redbird?

Upthread there was a suggestion of loading an odd number like 986 or something maybe give a shot...
986 just being my random suggestion

take 2500 and divide it into 3 with random numbers i happen to do 942,837,721 that way it's still 3 swipes but not even amounts that trigger fraud alerts

Target Spring Valley started matching RC and CC name?!?!? Gosh how quickly they crack down. A few weeks ago it was a breeze. Standing on line I saw a frum man and his wife arguing with the CSR over something for like 10 minutes.
Passing by Paramus. What's the matzav there?

At least for the past 3 weeks and likely before that (as that was just when I found out).

The CSR made some snide comments about how the RC isn't worth the time and effort to load it and how "of course we're not using it in target, we're just going to go right to the bank to withdraw it". The manager was also busy lecturing some other guy about how some people are committing fraud.

Yep that's the one.
When the guy on the line in front of me wanted her to call her manager, she radioed him that "she needs him because apparently she's not high enough to do it herself".

interesting I always thought she was a manager, I always try and be polite and it sometimes pays off

But basically there are no targets around here that are good anymore :(
