Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

I think Im gonna call them and ask them for something due to my inconvenience - maybe I should wait till my next visit to Target and then "Hammer them with 6,000 miles"

thanks.
No,  don't go to the store. Only work with the driver,  unless you want the deal killed
Probably not, but your driver should know.

What deal? Am I missing something?

Anyone know if a "reverse direct deposit" work? i.e. like when you have a credit card (or in my case life insurance company) deduct the bill from a bank account? Can i put in my routing number and account number in my life insurance company page and have them take it out of my RC account?

The routing and account numbers they give you for direct deposit are for "push" ACH deposits only. They cannot be used to "pull" (withdraw) from your RC.

They left me a message to call them but I wanted to make sure that there wasn't any specific restrictions on Platinum

I have been flagged three times by Amex for using Platinum at CVS and Amex Gift cards in the last week alone. The first time a week ago when I tried making a purchase at CVS with my Amex Platinum. Then I decided to focus only on Amex GC and use my Amex Platinum to meet minimum spend requirement. Bought one GC four days ago for $2,000 and then another one for $4,000. The second one triggered a review yesterday morning after I bought coffee at 7/11 using Platinum. I called them and cleared everything within two minutes. For no reason, I got flagged again today when trying to fill gas -- took me more than 30 minutes of wait.

Most likely spoke to a very senior person at the fraud department and was on phone with her for another 15 minutes going through my last 15+ years of history with Amex. Total nuts. My history with Chase has been much more recent -- my first Chase CC was about eight months ago and I have had six cards since then and done much more (at least 5x) manufactured spending to meet minimum spend requirement with them than Amex and yet no fraud alert or reviews.

So, my thinking is that for whatever reason they are on high alert when it comes to Platinum -- partly because it's a charge card with no spending limit.

Does this work for BB software version 7? From what I've read, it needs version 10.

The app is the only way to do it. Otherwise you'll be on the phone with them 6 times and still get nowhere.

I have the app installed on my Android but there were no flags or anything I could do. Once, about two weeks ago, the app asked me if I attempted charges at a gas station and once I cleared them, I was able to use the card. But this time, there was no push alert.
