Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Lately is very tough over there

Tough for anything at all, or for more than $1,000?

If I have 2 red cards on my name, will the target in Flatbush allow $1000 on  each, or only $1000 in total (only one card)?

In my experience, all targets in brooklyn only allow you to do $1000 per day per PERSON per card. In other words, once you do $1000 they don't want to see you for the rest of the day. You could come back on another shift or go to another target same day and do another $1000.
eh...

One of the lesser discussed benefits of the Redcard is that you can use it to get 5% off purchases at Target, and if you have $1 on the card, and pay with it first, and then pay the balance with any other cc, you still get the 5% discount, while also getting the benefits of whichever cc you used.
Here's my question: Does anyone know if it needs to be $1? What if it has only $0.10?
Thanks.

Should be any amount.

I have heard that if you only pay partial amount with RC, you will only get 5% on the amount used. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

Do you really care about the extra .9 points that you'll get if only having $0.10 on the card will still give you the 5%?

So now Amex said it should all be resolved and they took off the hold but the rep did tell me that sometimes when a card is used/denied multiple times the merchant (in this case Target) might block the card from being used. Anyone experience that? Where the Amex-end was good but Target blocked the transaction?

Like i mentioned ^^, it probably only takes a percentage off the amount you use from the RC. I know i used it on some small orders and pretty sure 5% came off, just didn't pay attention if it was on the whole order.

I'll admit I didn't read through all pages of this thread,  I still hope someone can answer me.

I activated a few cards online, and on some cards it said account is under review and got an email asking to submit ID and proof of address.

Is there any way around this?  And how does the process work?

Likely no way around it.

Should be a way to upload the documentation from the account.
