Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Likely no way around it.

Should be a way to upload the documentation from the account.

Call them and they'll email you the link to upload docs. Then once you upload, call them back and they'll look at it right away and clear all the holds.

Like i mentioned ^^, it probably only takes a percentage off the amount you use from the RC. I know i used it on some small orders and pretty sure 5% came off, just didn't pay attention if it was on the whole order.
if you start payment with red card it will take 5% off the whole bill but if you start with gc or cc then use red card it will only take 5%off what you paid with card. Also it's good to know cashier can hit a button and take off 5% for you

This may sound ridiculous, but if it works like this, can I fill up my RC with another RC for the first dollar, then do rest of the load with a CC and get 5% off the whole transaction?

I don't think loading is considered a purchase.

So now Amex said it should all be resolved and they took off the hold but the rep did tell me that sometimes when a card is used/denied multiple times the merchant (in this case Target) might block the card from being used. Anyone experience that? Where the Amex-end was good but Target blocked the transaction?
Target allows 3 tries and then they wont allow you to use that card. Had that last week with a GC that refused to swipe.

Are you sure? Because I've definitely had one of my cards denied >3 times because of fraud alert and Target still accepts it once it's cleared up with the CC company.

You can ask for a replacement card and that should circumvent Targets block (if that is true).

I purchased an RC with an RC in MA in November. They gave me the 5% off the $5 purchase only, not the $1 load. So it doesnt work. Maybe, if you searched the thread you would find out that it was tried 6 months ago and you can stop trying to re-invent the wheel...and get back to discussing all the non-important OT stuff on this thread like pixi's gender etc.  :P ;D

It was the payment device that was blocked by Target, not the RC. It was kinda 3 strikes then youre out. Use a different payment method.

So i am figuring that it is the CC itself that is blocked... If that is the case, getting a new card number should work.

I have no clue. I just used that GC elsewhere and used my PRG to cover that $500. Still got my double points for purchasing the GC with PRG. (Dont have Ink)

I've done it (in store), and it has worked.
How recently? I did it with redcard and target GC and I got 5% only on amount charged to redcard.
