Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

In this case it doesn't sound like it will last. Whoever is doing that whole coming in and out loading a few cards crap please stop for the benefit of all the others

another good reason to keep these out of NY... The employees out-of-town may be able to tolerate this level for now... Let's play it safe.

Your can put in the cc number in the pay a bill option. Or you can just transfer it to your bank account. Or take it or if atm log the bills into wheresGeorge.com and deposit them into your banks atm

Don't waste your time. Most of bluebird thread is walmart and debit card specific. target is a completely different world. In walmart you have to do debit. And for some cards that was a problem. At different times different cards didn't work. Sometimes there was a workaround, other times not. But for now, at least, target allows credit loads so you don't need pins, as your experience shows.
The only relevant point is not to tell them you have GC and if you can, conceal card. But it's not really a problem. if you use PIN for gc, they won't ask for last four. Only when you are doing credit. So it might be better to run GC as debit, but not worth making yourself crazy.
(insert very bad word here), i missed this post and red through the thread, basically people asking the same questions over and over, come to think of it, that's whats happening here too.

Yup.  I am sorry,  as I wrote above,  I meant reading the wiki for guidance on what not to say to cashiers

yes, according to cs it's $500/$1000 per day up to $1500 total. Others have done more, apparently, so YMMV.
