Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

I don't think this question has been answered in the wiki or upthread:

Is there any way, other than Target spending (purchases) to unload a temporary RedBird prepaid card?

In my unbridled enthusiasm, I purchased an extra temp card and loaded it with $500 but now don't think I have a real person's identity to convert it to a permanent card.

Thanks.

you can load it onto a AFT (Amex for Target) and cash out at an ATM-verified.
Based on this, i would think that you can can transfer it from one red card to another, but i have never tested that.

So when they mentioned the word ATM up thread  that didn't answer this question?

Yes, IME, as well, can't use ATM with an unregistered temp card.  (A registered temp card works fine to unload, though.)

This is interesting. I'll try in the next few days and report back. Thanks.

What did you tell the cashier?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

So you just hand them the card and say you want to activate it?

He just wanted to know where I got it from, I told him my brother sent it to me,
After the fact, he showed it to other CS agent to say how cool they are, and that they are prob going to be at all target stores..
