Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

So can she get one for each of us?
Yes,
Or you can just activate it yourself in your local Target store.

Sorry.
So she can put in her social once. and yours the next time.
The social and the drivers licence do not need to match

Someone mentioned that there are targets near Boston that have this card but when I looked at the stores listed on the website none seemed close to Boston. Anyone know if any targets near Boston carry this card?

You'll need your SS#, but it can later be registered in someone else's #. There's a limit to how many you can buy in a day. (It may be 1)
will go to two stores, buy  both using my own name, social and address?
Once at home, I can register one for my sister in her name?

If they don't check ID, I can put her info directly  in the store when buying.

There is a link in the Wiki that maps where the Targets are. I personally have been using the Target in Millbury MA, right near Worcester, about 40 minutes east of Boston. Cleared out one rack...but they have plenty more  ;D

I activated one in NY yesterday,
I used my ID, when asked for S.S and birthday etc,  I used all my wife's information.
I did NOT have an issue,

Depends where that person is coming from. Its literally 2 minutes off I-90. If they are going from NY or CT to Boston its a 5 minute detour.

Do you get 5% back on loading with Discover or Citi Dividend card at Target?
Both these  cards offer 5% back at department stores until Dec. When I first buy this at the store and load ,  is it recommended to load with a small amount like $10?
Thanks!
I can load without any CA fees on any cards

Is there a $1000 transaction limit for loading in target?
i.e. the $2,500/day limit needs to be  $1,000/$1,000/$500?

I seem to remember reading that in the past

Just an FYI I went to two stores in MKE and had no issues. I got about 3-4 in each. I even used the same cashier one right after another.

The map of locations selling cards seems to be down. Anyone know of any locations in Chicago?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Just loaded $2500 @ on 4 cards. I think i love this game a little too much. So many options. first max out PRG 30k, then...MQD waiver on Delta? All i have are Amex personal Platinum, PRG, Delta Gold, SPG and Citi Executive AA. Anyone have ideas or just take it one month at a time?
