Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Just to log in DOB has to match what u registered. After that u can change to match ss#. If those dont match then they will not register u without sending in ss card and other addl documents.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

Gotchya.. But technically you can still register the card without putting in that registered date of birth

What did you put in the date of birth section on the first page?

Loaded at Target on 116th in east Harlem...assuming no one here ventures over there.  Cashier sent me to CS. Had to call Amex twice, once after the first load and once after the second for them to let it go through.  Worries me a bit as I have never had to call twice in a shot.  Anyway, they didn't ask for id for those keeping score.  Got 2500 eventually

I would like to make the initial in-store activation in NJ today. Can I give totally make up info in the store? Can I use a social that already had BB (and change it when registering online)? Do they ask for ID?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

They will scan id, you should be able to use a ss # that has a bb, but you won't be able to register it on line with a ss# that has dd registered on it..
What's your plan for yud shvat?

I'm at Target in Howell. I asked them to activate card, and it didn't work. I think they just tried adding money. Is there other instructions I should give them?
