Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Did you have any trouble using the card on bigger purchases after the FR was completed?
I didn't, but I also took it slowly and didn't make purchases much bigger than $1k.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Just heard rumblings that cc load will end this week. Anyone hear anything of the sort? CS says they keep changing their mind over it.
Here is my story... I activated (bought) a card today and the CS told me  the next load we'll only let you use a debit card, check, or cash...
I try my best :-\

This is what she told me, when buying the card you can use a CC but not for subsequent loads...

I'm sure this information is coming from a store that does not carry it, correct?

Anyone know if I send them the letter from Amex that comes with a new supplementary card, if that will satisfy for proof of address?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

That should make no difference. A store that carries it can -does- talk nonsense as well...

BTW I hope (believe) it's wrong but I think it does make sense, same as the first load doesn't count towards the monthly limit...

PS she didn't tell me it won't work, she said we won't "let" you...

I was FRed a few months ago. I didn't have to pay anything - just fax them a form allowing them to look at my tax returns. The whole thing took about 2 weeks, maybe a bit more.

But it may not always be the same.

If you're going to do stuff that may risk an FR, you might want to wait until next week.
Whats next week

Clarify the question
I'm thinking it was a dumb question. I went to activate the card in my name and logged into the account created for my wife's name. Was wondering if I can have both cards linked to that one username but that wouldn't make sense.

Correct. You need to have 2 logins with separate email addresses
