So unlike Bluebird the Target card CAN'T be used to take money out of ATM's while traveling abroad?

Is there still no way to get one of these without driving/flying a long way if you live in the NYC area? I actually could go to Boston and North Carolina for work but the Targets aren't very close to any of the locations so I'd have to rent a car and drive all the way over.

Thinking of getting this but just wanted to confirm that if the card is registered in one name/SS# that you can load it with a cc with a diff name (e.g, my cc, husband's name/cc).

Havent heard any reports because RedCard uses a third party so its not Amex to Amex
