What's your question? Not particularly easy to figure out the answer, but their explanation is very straight forward. That riddle series on TED-Ed is great. Not sure why there was no 'pause to figure out the answer' for this one.

I didn't click on your link yet, but you gave me a clue from the fact that it's imdb. Is it the joker?

Close enough. I guess you're not much of a Batman fan.

Never heard this before, but ingenious!  The idea behind it is built on the others' knowledge.

First stage:  I see what I see.

Second stage:  I gain info when the other did NOT act.
(If the other person/people were sure of themselves they would have acted one way.  Each individual gains more understanding when they realize that the others did NOT act because they weren't sure.)

Third stage:  I gain even more info when I realize that the other(s) also know what I know and how I will act.
(Since each individual realizes that each of the other individuals realize the same thing, that is the clincher.   This allows each individual to gain the ultimate knowledge that he is green eyed.)

This is complicated and in a few stages so it really needs step by step which will have to wait until I choose to waste more time on this.  :D
Thanks for wasting my morning.  It was eye opening.

I agree that it's complicated and requires several steps, but that's exactly what they walk you through in the video. What's there to add beyond that?

To the OP - just watch the explanation again, but pause after each bit of explanation to make sure you understood it before moving on up the next piece.

I beg to GREATLY disagree.  There are eye opening, very deep chidushim on thinking for each step.  If you feel it is that easy, write it up and you will understand that it is not so easy.

It would literally be a transcription of the video's explanation. I take it you never took a course in logic?

In a case of 3, person A, B, and C. Assuming we're looking from the perspective of C. I think I understand. That is I make an assumption that I'm not green. So according to my assumption each other one sees one green eyed person and should leave in two nights. When they don't that means my assumption is wrong. Therefore I leave.

Now in a case of four, looking from the perspective of person D I'm having trouble understanding how to say the same thing.

It's the same process, you just need an extra day to confirm the additional info stemming from the added person. That's why with 100 people it takes 100 days.
