Took me a minute. I probably heard a similar question (ice to water), though I don't think that specific scenario.
There are a hundred quarters on a table, 40 heads and 60 tails. You must make 2 groups with all of the quarters with each group having the same amount of heads. You can't see which are heads or tails. How do you do it?

Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

No. Not that type of answer, just math.

Grab a bunch (any number) (actually think it might have to be 40) off the top and flip them over. That's it.

Vsauce guy just did a video on this (his current channel is D!NG), only with a deck of cards.

So if i grab 10 and they were heads and are now tails, but I don't know, how does that get me closer.
The answer is to separate 40. So now 40-X (X is the number of heads in the 40 pile) is how many heads are in the 60 pile and 40-X is how many tails are in the 40 pile. Then just flip the 40 pile.
ETA: Now I see your edit :)

I heard the question asked about two bridges or two paths. The prison version is weird, how does he get past the guards?
If you don't care why would you comment?

The guard is not a problem to get past, all they do here in this riddle is to answer one question of yours and allows the prisoner one attempt to leave.
If he makes the wrong choice (meaning picks the door which leads to another room in the prison)then they keep him there for the rest of his life!

This is three years old. 🙃

Reminds me of a clock.

Equidistant for what reason? 60/30 degrees maybe is relevant.

I saw the comments on Twitter I definitely like the idea of continuing the letters around and that's somehow supposed to tell you something.

I'm clueless

H, I, and m can all be read backwards, and j and l are opposites if that helps

Here's a solution:
You go through the Door between the letters H & M.

The logic - since the sequence is the clue, and the letters appear on the wall sequentially, it would make sense that the person who painted them on the walls entered through the non-booby trapped door and began painting. When they completed the task with "M", they walked out of the room from the door they started with.

That is the most sensible answer I've heard all day. Still not absolutely positive that it's the expected one though.

The three fastest horses:

A horse farmer takes you to his track and asks you to find the 3 fastest horses out of the 25 he owns. There are three parameters/givens to this test:

- Regardless of how many times you run them, the horses are relatively consistent - meaning if horse "A" is faster than horse "B" in one race, he is ALWAYS faster than Horse "B".
- You can't use a stop watch
- You can only race five horses at a time on the track.

What is the minimum number of races you need to run to find horses 1,2, and 3, and how do you set them up?

That's what I thought at first but that really just gets you the one fastest one (I think). Pretty sure I can do it in 9, not sure if there is a faster way.
