The main benefit you get is lounge access, a steal for $100 USD P.A - I bought a year off superultimate and I have enjoyed using it ever since.

Benefits
American Express Centurion Lounge Benefits | Unlimited Entry + 1 Guest
Lufthansa Business Lounge Access or Senator Lounge Access when flying in Business | Unlimited Entry No Guest
Delta SkyClub Access when flying on Delta | Unlimited Entry No Guest
Virgin Australia Business Lounge Access (Even for US cards, Australian ID though) | Unlimited Entry No Guest
Priority Pass Select | Unlimited Entry + 2 Guests for lounge access globally

Risks
You will need to lodge some personal information to the seller, in this case superultimate has been fantastic and would trust him going forward
You will need to submit your SSN BUT to American Express, not to the seller. If you dont have an SSN, a passport will do just fine, even if it isnt US issued (I used my AU passport)

How it is done
Assuming that you meet the requirements for becoming an Authorized User, the seller will send a request to American Express. You will need to call them to finalize the ID verification but apart from that its all taken care of from superultimate. You will receive the card to your home address, or you can have superultimate forward the card internationally through UPS.

After that, you will be given a log in into American Express, feel free to register for Priority Pass and when you receive both cards, its all done.

If you have no other valid cards when you close the plat they close the MR account with it. If you have another valid card you are good to go.

I have a friend who recently got the bonus points by "upgrading" his gold card to platinum -points posted aprox 30 days later- and will now just downgrade back to gold.

Usually they don't offer too many points for upgrading.

How much do you want for it?

Sorry all spots taken. I already added 3 cardholders. Can anyone advise if adding more cardholders will work without me having to pay additional fees bec I'm canceling anyway?

The card is swiped but it is not checked to see if it's active.

FYI

In December I got a platinum and canceled w/in 30 days and got the full refund.

I had 2 lounge experiences: During the 30 days that my card was still active I got denied entry into the united rcc in chicago. They have a sign that they don't take it anymore. After I had canceled it, I got in to the China Airlines lounge with my wife (i was flying cathay pacific in the same terminal). They just swiped it and wrote down something and let me in.

It never worked with United and quite frankly I don't understand how it worked in...

The reason for the sign in ORD is because there used to be a CO PC in ORD but it was swallowed by the UA RCC's there which don't take it.

It should only work at AA, CO, DL, and AMEX branded lounges.

Do all of the above require a BP from the respective airline? What about Amex lounge?

Is there any official or unofficial number of Amex cards one can safely have open at the same time? I'm at 4 right now. Just wondering what'll happen if I get the plat too (the DD way..).

I've never heard of an official number for AMEX.
