The main benefit you get is lounge access, a steal for $100 USD P.A - I bought a year off superultimate and I have enjoyed using it ever since.

Benefits
American Express Centurion Lounge Benefits | Unlimited Entry + 1 Guest
Lufthansa Business Lounge Access or Senator Lounge Access when flying in Business | Unlimited Entry No Guest
Delta SkyClub Access when flying on Delta | Unlimited Entry No Guest
Virgin Australia Business Lounge Access (Even for US cards, Australian ID though) | Unlimited Entry No Guest
Priority Pass Select | Unlimited Entry + 2 Guests for lounge access globally

Risks
You will need to lodge some personal information to the seller, in this case superultimate has been fantastic and would trust him going forward
You will need to submit your SSN BUT to American Express, not to the seller. If you dont have an SSN, a passport will do just fine, even if it isnt US issued (I used my AU passport)

How it is done
Assuming that you meet the requirements for becoming an Authorized User, the seller will send a request to American Express. You will need to call them to finalize the ID verification but apart from that its all taken care of from superultimate. You will receive the card to your home address, or you can have superultimate forward the card internationally through UPS.

After that, you will be given a log in into American Express, feel free to register for Priority Pass and when you receive both cards, its all done.

Neither did I, yet. (AFIAK it's 175). I opened the additional cardholders in Dec.

No, that would just be a reason not to be charged for add'l cards.

I've had those cards on for over two months already, am I risking anything in that regard by keeping my plat open?

Just got approved today for AMEX Platinum and am willing to sell 2 additional cards at $85 each. (any payment accepted buyer pay fees)

Obviously I will limit spending to $0 and I do not guarantee how long I will keep them active.  I must get 2 commitments in order to do it, so please PM me ASAP.

I've heard from some friends who've been trying to add AUs that they insist on you giving an SSN for each AU. have u guys been able to add users without SSNs?
In order to understand recursion, you first need to understand recursion.

Same here. They claim it's now required by law. I've added AU's several different time for different AMEX flavored  cards since Dec. and they are now always asking for the SSN, plus B-day and physical address.

PS, now that I agree with you, does that mean I'm wrong per your signature?  :P

Might cause you an issue if you request a refund of the annual fee.

What sort of issue?

I have done this in the past. Signed up for plat, added 3 cardholders, got charged $450 + 175, cancelled card and didn't pay a penny.

The obvious one. I said might, as in they might notice you just added a card and wonder why...

I thought I would be keeping the card forever and got a card for my friend.

Upon later realizing that I don't want to keep the card, the same way my fee is waived, the cardholder fee is waived as well.
