I've seen that with other transfers to AC too.

IIRC you may already be able to use the points for a booking now already.

We’re sorry, it seems you do not have enough Aeroplan points available right now to complete this transaction.

Tried to transfer from Amex it was the same

Had this with LM in the past

Booked a UA flight for a friend from my account using his CC.
I got an email from the fraud department saying the ticket needs to be confirmed at an airport desk. Luckily there’s an AC flight at the same time. Should he expect any issues? Flight is tomorrow morning.

a revenue ticket from your account ?

you can cancel and rebook, you can even book through to ota to avoid issues

It was a miles ticket. B”h the UA gate agent got a supervisor to bypass the hold somehow.

I've booked an itinerary thru Toronto to LGA, officially the MCT International to LGA is 1:45 minutes. they sold me a ticket with a 1:30 connection. now I see they split the booking making the last segment as a separate flight. will it cause any problems when checking in? I'm not worried about not making the connection cause I have GE.

is it possible the AC gets SQ J inventory more than other *A? i see seats jfk-fra in j for 60k but no other partner has. not LM. not UA. no VA

Yes, AC officially gets better availability than other SQ partners.

not only SQ. same for LO. nothing on UA or LM but showing on AC

its more points on AC and more taxes.
plus, i transferred cap1 into LM for a diff trip but took too long to post, seats disappeared and i ended up making alternate plan and now i have a lot of points in LM i'd like to use if possible

LM doesn't have all available star alliance award tickets. United may not be showing LO availability at the moment, possibly due to some ongoing dispute. Check another partner for LO before transferring to AC in case of phantom (don't check on Lufthansa as they can have expanded availability).

I've seen a lot of phantom on LO flights, maybe try to call AP to make sure there's availability

If he has a United card and wants free bags, his card. If not, it doesn’t matter

Opened a new account with a different email address, and got the same fraud message, though this time they cancelled it completely.
Anyone have a solution to this?
