Not sure about refunds but I once had a cancellation and they gave me a few rerouting options when I spoke to another agent the next day they referenced "I see you were given x options" so they do have such a thing like writing notes on PNR's

They definitely have a notes section on the PNR. It is obviously subject to what the agent decides to put there but they are supposed to properly document the call and they usually do. Of course, your second agent occasionally won't bother to read the notes.

Even if they read the notes, they usually will only read the top few lines, so if you call in a few more times about other things it will overwrite it

When booking a united airlines economy seat through Air Canada Aeroplan will I get the opportunity to upgrade to economy plus like when I book directly through United?

Instead of booking round trip or one way, there is a multi city/ stopover option at the top

does it make sense that aeroplan is selling a first class ticket on lufthansa from athens to ewr via fra in first class, but when i search FRA to EWR nothing comes up? i looked up the flight details, and the segment from FRA to EWR on that ticket is first class. Is there a way to find this ticket?
